Re: new from Milton Keynes

Hi from me too. Try posting your question in one of the other forum sections (wildlife photography perhaps?) and you may get more responses from people who have been out around there taking pics. On the other hand, someone who lives round that way may be on here soon. Good luck with it all anyway

Re: new from Milton Keynes

You could also consider joining the Milton Keynes Natural History Society, they have a weekly summer field trip programme (usually on Tuesday evenings) which is a great way to discover good wildlife sites in the area. See:

Re: new from Milton Keynes

Glad you've got a few good replies (especially as nobody seems to have answered in the photography section which I suggested ) You should be able to load your images though. They must be uploaded onto WAB and not linked from an external site. If you follow the uploading instructions on the gallery pages you should be fine. Best to load them on one of the unmoderated galleries (called Archive on here) then they will be available straight away

Re: new from Milton Keynes

lots of good places in milton keynes , check out the parks trusts website Parks Trust - The Parks Trust - used to work for them so know for a fact that they have loads of good locations.

another four that are worth checking out are

a) the hanson centre / linford lakes which is run by MKC , you have to pay an anual sub (a fiver i think) to get a key for the hides but its a nice site

b) little linford wood just to the north of the ouse, which is run by bbowt (not to be confused with linford wood in mk itself) , this has decent orchids, flutterbys and even doormice tho you'll be lucky to see the latter

c) slightly further afield check out stockgrove country park near leighton buzzard - very good ops on nuthatch here as they are used to people

and finally

d) slighly further afield still check out summerleys nature reserve which is near wollaston , run by northants cc this has an excellent small bird feeding area giving good ops on reed wardbler, tree sparrow, long tailed tit , and ocassionally brambling amonst others
