Watching wildlife at night

hello happy valley, it might be as well if it's a private landowner to ask permission too. I don't use a torch at night because it shows up too much as mh68 says....I have got good at seeing in the dark, although have fallen down the odd hole.
I got a scope for about £70 from Tchibo,online store, think it's made for them by bushnell, it's not the ultimate scope and is sometimes hard to keep focused and they emit a faint hum which I read wildlife can hear, also animals don't like it shone directly in their eyes so I use it sparingly. You could maybe go out with a local badger group to get some experience as well
