What a lovely warm welcome from you. Feel quite moved by it. I feel sure that this is the place for me, I have taken over 1500 phots in the last 12 months and got about 12 that I am happy with. My main interests are anything that I can observe and learn about. As the summer progressed it was dragons and damsels and of course hoverflies. Ladybirds excite me and I have not even begun to mention the great birds we have here in Devon. I also have a boat and get out in the Exe Estuary during the summer, wow thats great fun.......skuas, auk sp. , kitiwake terns etc. plus jelly fish and the odd seal and dolphin, it is great down here! Nearly had a salmon jump in the boat in August 2006! Haldon Forest is close as well as Woodbury Common for Nightjar and Dartford Warbler. But nothing floats my boat more than the hoverflies and bees in my little garden which are so interesting. So....... thanks for the welcome. Looking forward to contributing. |
