binoculars for safari holiday

Hello friends! We are going on holiday to S. Africa and included is a little two or three day safari in Kruger National park. What kinds of binoculars should I buy, - when I 'm at home, I do like looking at birds throuh the kitchen window and whilst walking, so they'd have to be good for that as well. Not too dear tho. I'd be grateful for your opinions. Thanks

May I suggest you do a search for 'Binoculars' using the site search facility at the top of the page - you'll find there've been lots of threads on the subject of choosing binoculars but, at the end of the day, it comes down to budget and what suits you best.

I'd recommend going along to a good optics shop and trying out several pairs (within your budget ) for yourself.
