Anyway, here's a warm welcome to you from plain ol' "Dutchess"! (Mine is spelt wrong intentionally, as I keep Dutch Rabbits I have played on the word )
Have fun here, we're a friendly crowd.

| | Thank you for your welcome Thank you all for a nice welcome. The wee beasties that I have trundleing across the floor are about 1cm long dark brown with like a fawn saddle type stripe on it's back. It has no wings, I have found them in my kitchen draws but they don't seem to live long. Any ideas???? |

welcome to wab.
Your beetle sounds like it could be a Larder Beetle - Dermestes lardarius.

| | | Re; Thank you Hi Neil
Thanx a lot for your information. I have had a look at a picture of the larder beetle and it does look like them, so much so that I think you have cracked it for me.
I will keep my eyes open and keep setting them free as I can't kill them they are so tiny and really they don't do any damage except drive the cat to distraction trying to catch them.
Thanks a lot
