| | | Hello Again I haven't visited this forum for some time (as my partner has been very ill), but it's good to be back and I'm looking forward to having a good look around. I've been spending a lot of time with wildlife, and have even managed to set up my own nature blog including videos and photos (which I'm finding very exciting). |

The land around our village is greenbelt, but the government is moving the boundary so that this land can be built on. 700 houses are proposed...
Most of the videos I take are of animals living on this greenbelt land. In a few years they will probably be gone along with the countryside - unfortunately once it's gone there's no getting it back. In the meantime we are fighting hard for its preservation. |

The blog is very well done - lovely. I enjoyed reading it cos you live in an area we've visited quite a lot over the past dozen years or so. One of my best memories would be finding bee orchids on Corfe Common with my dad during one such holiday; made all the more poignant now as dad is no longer with us.......
Just how the government has managed to annexe you to Poole I've no idea - or rather its the government who have no idea........ why is it that the stupidist of folks end up as councillors and government ministers: is that sensible folk with a decent view on life, wildlife, the world - couldn't possibly join such an institution - couldn't bear to be part of such a wicked set-up??

Pauline, you are so right. I have been to so many council meetings, and every one of them I come out of and want to hit my head against a wall! I don't know how they do it... |

Welcome back and I wish a good recovery for your partner and hope all is well. Your blog "Urban Extension" is great - what fabulous photographs! How lovely it must be to live where you are and be able to come so close to the birds and animals.
