| | | I move among you Good evening. Madingson here. I come from the internet.
My primary concern is how one identifies individual grey squirrels (make the sign of the cross at your leisure) and how to photograph Kingfishers.
Right now my dear wife is breathing over my shoulder, so for the nonce, I must away.
Oh, and Dippers. Are they having a wash? Or having fun when they do that morning dance in the river?
And foxes. Do we love them? Or blow them into next week?
So little time, so many questions.

| | | Re: I move among you Cheers my friend. I'm fairly new to this wildlife conservation thing and I hope I can ask honest questions about... well, the sort of things I've seen on Autumn Watch.
That was the programme that persuaded me that living in the valley was about a bit more than extending the land I own.
I've done that. And now I have, I realise I'm just another creature who lives there. And maybe I dont really own it. Just I'm in charge of it for a while.
Bit of a responsibility really? Especially when you aint got a clue what you are doing.

Greetings and felicitations to you, and welcome to WAB. To answer your questions:
Individual Grey squirrels can be easily identified Madingson The simplest method is with a bullet hole centrally through the forehead. This will clearly identify them.
Kingfishers can be easily photographed you just need to wait by their favourite perch,,,Identifiying their favourite perch is another matter.
I cant help you with your wife as have similar difficulties with mine...
Dippers are indeed just having fun when they do that morning dance they are laughing at the joke the kingfisher told them about people trying to find their favourite perch
Foxes well there is indeed a problem, and it appears to me that opinions are best kept to ourselves on that....
Enjoy the banter and watch out for the Black Rabbit he thinks he`s Elvis.

Well then, Madingson. Well, well then.
Let me bid you come hither Proud Madingson, cease your weary feet walking, and be seated amongst the mysteriously-misty pews of WABdom.
And you SHALL sup from the glorious chalice of the dipper.
(But you may have to wait until Coasty's had his fill - I think he's a bit partial to the "chalice juice" if you know what I mean . He thinks theres a Rabbit here who thinks he's Elvis. Yeah I know, just give him a bit of space pal - you'll recognise him by his avatar of a dog which is COMPLETELY made of chocolate).
TBR.

Its like describing a Turner oil painting - on the radio.
Or a very blunt skewer.
(Not much point)....
