Hi all
Just joined the other day but realise I haven't posted here yet. I live in south-east Cumbria, close to Windermere, so am very fortunate to be in a beautiful part of the world.

Hi, from a Cumbrian living in Holland. I never realised how wonderful or beautiful Cumbria was until I moved away, I took it for granted - you are indeed fortunate to live there  . Welcome to WAB, this is a great place - I am sure you will enjoy it here .

Thanks for the warm welcome... I'm not a great photographer but I try (and enjoy trying!). Here are one or two of my favourite shots from home.
A pig at Ducky's Park Farm, Flookburgh, South Cumbria 
A tarn not all that far from Ambleside in the central Lakes 
Red admiral in my parents' garden 
Hope you like them! I've seen the standard of some of you folk on here, and that's the absolute best I have to offer.  |

Welcome to WAB Altyfc, not much wrong with those shots. I hope you enjoy your time here, and don't think you have to be a photographic genius to load shots into our Gallery. What's more important is that it's titled correctly, then provided it's in focus and the right size, they'll be just fine. |
