Groetjes,
Hi, what a great experience, I had just read your post on the bird forum.
I was hoping to see Englands only Golden Eagle in Cumbria in July but I wasn't lucky - perhaps I should look closer to home.
Best wishes from a Brit in Holland.

jen xxx | Great stuff, a picture would be great! Look forward to it . I've always wanted to get into falconry and have a bird myself, maybe in the future... Quote:

Gek he? Luie honden zijn dat joh
Hi Goosey, nice that you can speak Dutch, one of the few. I am also English but in 5 1/2 years I've never come across another Englishman who can speak Dutch. Crazy hey? lazy dogs they are
Too bad you didn't see the Eagle in Cumbria, maybe try to spot an Eagle Owl or something in Holland as well. I read somewhere there are now around 50 breeding pairs in Holland. They are of course not a native species, apparently a few escaped from captivity or something a while back and they have now established themselves over there. There is a quarry or something in your area I believe somewhere where they say you're almost guarenteed to see one.
