BWD | Ooooh thats a lovely welcome thanks everyone, not only friendly but very knowledgeable too. Shyness is ebbing fast
The critters Im researching are natural pond life, Im part of an organic growing and sustainable living project (co operative) in Northants. We have been running just under a year with very little help and no funding. But we have just acquired charity status!
To earn a little money for the project we are running non certificated courses for awareness of resources, microclimate, flora and fauna, Besides the obvious organic side of growing food and low impact living.
As ponds, natural or otherwise are in rapid decline we want to reawaken they're importance to native wildlife and rare plants.
Now here is the crux......although I love nature and all native things, I am not trained (oh I have an National cert in Horticulture) which is years old and not relevant to anything Im doing now. And as I will be running this course with another co operative member, as niaive as myself we need all the information we can get-but simple not scientific stuff. All we want to do is get a message across to ordinary people.
However the message needs to be accurate..........I feel I have blabbed enough. What I will do is go and find relevant bits that I need and post in the right place.
Thanks for your patience on a very looong post |

Knowing the site, its almost impossible to be shy.
At some tpoint you will feel obliged to put your word in. Then before you know it, its gone from a simple shyness to the AWD "Addictive WAB Disease"
