| | | Hello Hello There!
I have just joined your forum and think its a great idea. We live in a Rural part of Suffolk and had the rare opportunity several years ago to buy the field at the back our our cottage from the farmer who needed cash. So we now have a four acre field. Dont panic we are not intending on selling it for houses or anything. Our intention is to eventually dig a natural lake and plant loads of trees and other bits and pieces to encourage wildlife. We have an old JCB and we dug a test hole three years back (one of those great unfinished projects). This is more like a huge pond. There was frogspawn in it last week although alas it seems to have disappeared, but there are regular ducks and moorhens living there.
We are keen to remain as close to nature in our garden/field as possible and we have loads of small wild violets and primroses out at the moment. |
