Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Nicky, I live in Cheshire. I have a large garden which I enjoy tending and searching out the various creepy crawlies that live there. The garden is also visited by a large number of our native birds who I enjoy watching during quiet moments.
I enjoy photography and am at the moment trying to get to grips with a digital SLR. It's not as easy as I thought it would be

Hello Bug Lady, it's amazing what small creatures lurk in the garden - I had no idea myself until I went purposely looking so I could take some photos. Good luck with your new camera, you will get plenty of advice here if you ask - not from me Im afraid . Welcome to WAB and I will see you around  . |

A warm welcome to WAB, I changed over from film to a DSLR last year and I am still learning, but there are plenty of helpful people on here, looking forward to your posts and photos.

Hi Bug lady, you've joined a great site, the best way to learn with your dslr is to keep taking pictures, it costs virtually nothing, unlike film and the folk on this site will help you to death, if you post your pictures. Have fun
