I went to Hartlepool a couple of years ago. We visited the Historic Quay and went on that ship, the Trincomalee ( hope I've spelled it right !). You had to be a dwarf to work below decks! I'm a sixfooter, I came off with a sore head and a bad back!
We went, because here in the Midlands, we have a pub called The Struggling Monkey and I told the wife the story of the Hartlepool monkey - she didn't believe me - so I took her there!
Anyway, a warm welcome from me.

Keith. | Yes Keith the boat is very small for us sixfooters indeed. Its a great place the Quay considering it was all old and rusting dockland yrs ago. The story of the monkey is a good one . Thankyou all for making me feel so welcome. |
