New to Devon, and loving it

Hi all,

I'm originally from Stockport, but have been living in Malaysia for the last 3 years (now they have some really wild wildlife). On returning to the UK this year, we've now settled in East Devon, and oh, it's it a beautiful place... (though the weather's not been as good as I expected)

There is so much wildlife here that you just don't find in a city area (or I didn't anyway!) - can you believe I'd never even seen a slow worm or a (live) badger!!!

I'm still busy trying to identify all the plants in our new garden, and we're hoping to set up a beehive next spring.

Looking forward to learning lots from all you knowledgable folks

Hello snapdragon, welcome to WAB. Sounds like you have a great garden, anything you are not sure about just ask here and someone will be able to help. When you set up your beehive, keep us informed - it sound really interesting

Hello snapdragon and a warm welcome. The weather hasn't been so good anywhere in the Uk this year so lets hope for a better one next year.

I am working in Devon for a couple of days next week and always look forward to trips there, early morning on the moors for me next week!

There are lots of knowledgeable folks on here, it's just that I'm not one of them
