Hi there

Where to start? Well, I guess I'd better say that I'm 14 and from Devon, and a Junior leader for the Devon Wildlife trust. I live on a farm, I love animals and wildlife of all kinds and being outdoors. My favourite animal (abroad) is the wolf, and closer to home, my interest is in all things creepy-crawly. Things that make me angry is the way many kids don't get to play outdoors any more like I got to because of health and safety, etc.
Tea time! We're digging a wildlife pond in the garden this week, so I might not be back soon, but we'll see!

Re: Hi there

Hi Queen Bee and welcome to the forum. Yes times have changed. When I was your age I was never in, I had breakfast and disappeared with friends into the woods and fields around our house to explore. We were often out till dark. Nowadays there would be a search party looking for us. Mind you that was about thirty odd years ago

Re: Hi there

Hi Queen Bee welcome why can't kids play outside? Outside is the only place to play and learn. Our country has become so harmfu land wasn't so in my day which wasn't all that long back and so shameful!! We need to rewind. Enjoy WAB

Re: Hi there

Hello QB

You sound like a very committed young person with a genuine interest in wildlife and conservation .... good for you

It is unfortunate that there are not more young people like you. Keep up the good work and convert a few more .... and remind them to sign up to WAB of course

Richard
