I'm not so good with spiders either but it's only the large ones that I really can't tolerate in my house. I'd never intentionally kill one though, I usually just have strong words with them and demand they leave out of the nearest window.

Greetings Magenta. Don't worry about spiders, they're harmless, (though I must confess I don't really like the huge, black hairy ones, but I would never harm one). I agree with Ron1863, their webs are like little works of art.
