Hello from Gt Manchester. I am new here, your site was recommended to me by a member of a photgraphy forum. I was having trouble identifying a lrg insect and was told to post in on your site. I hope my image has not upset anyone. A wonderful site by the way, I shall enjoy browsing and getting inspiration.  |

Thanks to you all for your warm welcome. I have already made a bad start by posting images that are far too large. On the other forum that I am a member of you can edit your own pics, am I right that this one does not have that option. I shall have to remember to edit correctly before I post. You have heard the saying "fools rush in", thats me, I should have read the rules before I got it wrong. Thanks again to you all. |

I was new yesterday.
I made the same mistake and posted a pic before reading the rules 
After reading the rules, I posted an ID query on a beetle.
The beast was ID'd within the hour.
I must say that I was a little depressed by the exceptional quality of the photography here. Then a kind WAB member suggested that I take that as inspiration (thank you, S, you know who you are).
So I submitted two Longhorn beetle shots, which were accepted today. That was very satisfying. 
My first two photo submissions are not super-quality, they are handheld with "point-and-shoot" camera. So it can be done! |
