| | | Hi from Hampshire Hi all, I`m Lou from Hampshire, keen about Wildlife, and nature.
A few days ago, think had a Sparrow Hawk, swoop on a pigeon, as there was hundreds of feathers scattered all around the garden, hope he doesn`t make a habit of that, also have some baby froggies in my pond. |

| | | Re: Hi from Hampshire Hi Lou, that must be one of the down sides of haveing Sparow Hawks around, even if they are magnificent birds, I would be so upset to see it happen to one of our birds. Welcome to you and your frogs - enjoy the site . |

and welcome to the forum.
We also have had a Sparrow Hawk frequenting our garden of late. I must admit to having mixed feelings on it, as in one way I feel a bit guilty for creating an artificially ideal hunting ground with having so many feeders attracting the 'little' birds in one place. But on the other hand it is rather exciting to have the Sparrow Hawk around and that bit of spice it adds to the nature in the garden. |
