| | New girl in town Hello to everyone!
Im a new member to this site and just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully get to know some of u better.
I guess the best place for me to start would be to tell you all a little bit about myself ....Well im currently in the 2nd year of a degree in Wildlife Management, previous to that I did a ND in Countryside Management (which mainly involved messing around in mud putting up stiles and fences, it was great fun!) I currently work as a countryside warden in a country park in Essex. My main interests are habitat management, species conservation, and country walking whenever I get the chance.
I stumbled across this website quite by chance and was delighted to discover a whole site dedicated to all those that share a common love of the British countryside and its wildlife.
I look forward to getting to know you all and getting involved in some interesting discussions.
All the best,
Nicole |

BTW my missus comes from Essex and all her family still live around Runwell, downham and Ramsden Heath.

A very warm welcome from a fellow Essex WABer. It sounds rude but isn't!!
You said in your intro that you are a countryside warden in a country park in Essex .... where would that be?
Enjoy WAB .... it is a great online community for all of us interested in the nature and enviornment of the UK.

In reply to Richard, I work at a site called Hainault Forest, its an ancient woodland that used to form part of the Great Forest of Essex. The sites like a mini version of Epping Forest would be the best way to describe it.
Thank u all once again for ur warm welcomes, look forward to chating with u all | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
