Thumbs up Re: To all the new members

Well it's been a little over one week since joining WAB and what a week it has been!

I thank my good friends Martin & Margaret who suggested this site to me - Thanks m&m

When I first joined I meant to post a ‘Hello’ but quite simply got carried away with members contributions and when I found the ‘Mushroom Pictures’ Gallery and Forum, well that was it, I was in heaven

The friendliness of the site is akin to a close family, indeed I feel as though I have known some of you for years.

On the picture front, well the quality is outstanding. There are so many people out there with real talent and all too happy to share it with others.

So, sorry this is a week late and a very big Thank You to you all

Best Regards - FungiJohn

Re: To all the new members

Right. You say you have been with us for a week. Now time to get working. The Pictures of Mushrooms Gallery is stuffed full of images that have not been identified. I am asking nicely, pretty please, if you will go through it and see if you can identify any.

Glad you like WAB and look forward to seeing more of your photos.

Re: To all the new members

Beryl, I was writing to FungiJohn who I know from his post is good on Fungi of all sorts. This shouldn't really be in this forum but I don't have the ability to move it.

Re: To all the new members

Not you Beryl, the thread needs moving. You have done nothing wrong, indeed you kindly answered the request for help. Thank you.

John. It was a suggestion not an order. I haven't known you long enough to start wielding the big stick. BTW digi knows about that. Me wielding the stick.

Re: Hi from Fungijohn

Hi Wildone

I’ve read about you and digi….. and that big stick…. I’m sure we’ll get along just fine

I’ve identified a few already but maybe not by the best method. I’m replying to members via their photographs but I assume this may not be picked up unless it is quite recent. Please let me know which is the preferred method.

An example of this is one of your own early pictures ‘unknown yellow fungi’ where I have replied with the ID.

Regards - John

Re: Hi from Fungijohn

John, what you have done is just fine. To save time and your typing finger/s you just need to put the common name and scientific name. Doesn't matter how old they are, a search in posts in the last 24 hours will reveal all. Thank you, as you can see we have been totally stimied.
