| | | Wow! What a fantastic website you have here - it's great! I fear I may become addicted though....
We've recently moved here to the lovely Yorkshire Dales and I'm having a blast with all the new wildlife I'm encountering. I've bought myself a new camera and have been getting some super shots of all sorts to add to my personal wildlife album which I hope to share with you soon. Btw, can someone point me to instructions to upload pics? I can't seem to find it I've recently had some of my pics published in the local village magazine and even made the front cover a couple of times - yeah!
I've been a wildlife watcher since I was little and having now moved here I'm in heaven lol! Hedgehogs are my fave animals and I've rescued a fair few over the years. I regularily feed the ones that visit my garden and I've even got one asleep in my hedgie box today!
Looking forward to getting on the boards and joining in
So a big Hi from me! |

Look forward to seeing more from you

Welcome, and I'm looking forward to seeing your photos too. I just uploaded my first ones - well, I hope I did!
So your ironing went the same way as mine then? OK, I confess, I've not even emptied the washing machine since I found this WTB

| | | Re: Wow! Hi Cazzie, welcome from another newbie. I have to say I have a real soft spot for Hedgehogs too, though for the last 2 years I haven't seen any in my garden, which is unfortunate. I wish I knew why. With regards to the ironing, I am in the same boat! |

Jillw - yep, I've been struggling to get any chores done today, infact I havent lol!
Clover Green - That's a shame you've got no visiting hedgies atm You've seen no black poops then? Can they actually get into your garden? Sounds a silly question I know, but sometimes new fencing etc. can obstruct them getting in. Are there any in your area that you know of? Have you tried putting some hedgie food out? |

I am a new member. I looked here to find out some info.
1 how do I get photos on, I read the answer just above, in this string.
2 please don't laugh but what do these abreviations mean "lol" and one you used just now "btw" I think it was?
3 there are lots of icons around that I don't know what they do/ mean (I know smilies)
4 what is the "comander" or "knight of the empire"
5 where do I find all these answers without feeling a complete idiot.
Thanks |

Thanks | 1. Have a look at the Video Guides http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/wildlife/video_guides
2. 'lol' means 'laugh out loud' & 'btw' means 'by the way'
3. Don't know about all the icons myself!
4. These are related to the amount of posts you do, eg 0-24 New Member, 25-49 Active Member, 50-499 Member of the Wild Empire....etc. Just a bit of fun.
5. Right here. You should never feel a right idiot here. |

Jay2 - It's taken me a while to get to grips, but hang in there you will!
Btw, maybe if you called the link 'Photo's/Video Guide', then maybe we wouldn't be confused?!? Just a thought |

I also LOVE Hedgehogs and have a little family resident in the garden. See them most nights shuffling through the Ivy and eating the food I put out for the birds on the steps
