Clover Green - That's a shame you've got no visiting hedgies atm You've seen no black poops then? Can they actually get into your garden? Sounds a silly question I know, but sometimes new fencing etc. can obstruct them getting in. Are there any in your area that you know of? Have you tried putting some hedgie food out?

Hi Cazzie. I have not made any changes to the fence, which has been around for years. There is an old wooden one at the back of the garden which is being held up by the ivy and bramble!! It has a few gaps in it, which are big enough for the foxes to scrape through. I have had Hedgehogs visiting my garden almost annually, so to go for 2 whole years without seeing them or any of their "calling cards" is rather strange. We used to put out dog food, until we realised it was only being eaten by the neighbourhood cats. Still, thanks for the suggestions!

Hi Cazzie. I have a Mrs tiggywinkle who lives on the other side of my shed. I love watching her sniff out the dried cat food i scatter out for her. Welcome to WAB only been here myself for nearly a week myself have also been made very welcome. Enjoy-jez!

That's great and thanks for the welcome You could also try a few shelled sunflower seeds and raisins - they love those!

Cresshead - Yeah, I know what you mean about the forum - I'm hooked already lol! Seeing a Fox is just as good, there aren't any round here because the farmers keep them away.

Right, it's a lovely day atm, so I'm off out with my camera down to the river Wharfe to see what I can find!

Gosh I found loads today and many new things for me too! Small Copper butterfly, an orchid, and Antler moth, Muscid fly and some old faves too like Red Admirals etc.

Anyway, wanted to show you a pic of 'Tiggy' my adorable little rescue that I found in the garden a few weeks ago very hungry and absolutely covered in ticks poor luv. You can see one of the pesky critters just under her eye Anyway, she's in the hands of a brilliant Hedgehog lady near me and is doing really well. She's soon to be released into a 3 acre plot with NO ROADS - yeah!

All say awwwwwwww!



She was such the cutest and most adroable little Hedgehog I've had the pleasure to meet in years and she's was only about 9 weeks old

Hope this piccy will keep you all going until you get a hedghog visiting of your own
