TBH I think it's been more luck than anything, we have a small wooded area and a stream not far down the road so I think the wildlife has spread from there. We had fox get it's head stuck in our cat flap not long after we moved in, poor thing managed to get it's own head loose by breaking the cat flap and the bats where allready flying over the garden. My favorite though was a newt we found on our path, I used to see loads of newts when I was a kid but this was the first one I'd seen in years, that was when I decided I wanted a wildlife garden with a pond but we waited for our youngest to grow a bit first. I'm waffling now, what I wanted to say is I think we've been very lucky.
