| | | Hello from Islay Hello everybody- I live on the Island of Islay (off the west coast of Scotland - Spring watch was broadcast from there this year) loads of geese, eagles and distilleries. I love all types of nature. I am a fencer so I spent most of my life in the countryside |

| | | Re: Hello from Islay Wow, how lucky are you?! Welcome to WAB, I'm sure you'll have some great stories to share with us.
I'm in Buckinghamshire, wishing I were somewhere a little more remote. I do get to spend most of my working day in the countryside though so I count myself as fairly lucky too.

Welcome to WAB.
I have travelled around much of the Highlands and Islands over the last 20 years or so but have never visited Islay.
Having seen your wonderful island for 3 weeks on BBC Springwatch that is a conspicuous absence that I must deal with .... a trip is provisionally planned for November to see the wintering geese amongst everything else.
