I'll be in Liverpool for a day sometime in the next few weeks getting mysefl a new Passport. Where would you recommend for some wildlife photo opportunities in the area?

John has made a good start to your request, and that reserve was my local wildlife retreat for 15 years. So when it was made out of bounds to members of the public, 2 years ago, you can imagine how unhappy I was.
As Tink has suggested, I will add more information on the areas of Liverpool good for wildlife watching in the suggested thread
Tom
ps....i think someone may need to point me in the right direction for the 'Be it ever so humble' thread; Im lost already lol
Thanks |

How does your city approach environmental/conservation issues? It's all of interest to us.
Welcome.
Tink | The reserve across the Mersey at Formby is well worth a visit.
And welcome to Wab, Tom! |

| | | Re: Hello From Liverpool Another reserve that could turn up trumps (but has been strangely quiet of late) is Frodsham, near Runcorn. This used to turn up all sorts of birds and was also a good place to find Hen Harrier around the Weavers Bend but I haven't heard of any sightings there for a while.
It also used to be an excellent place for Corn Buntings but I'm not sure if they haven't moved on as well.
The bodies of water there were split up into what was known as Tanks and out on them the odd rare wader could be found as well as a lot of the more common one's also.
If you see this Tom. What is the latest update on Frodsham. I can't believe how quiet it has gone. There used to be regular reports from there but lately there is very little info coming out.
