| | | Newbie Hi
My names Paul. I am a keen bird watcher. I have recently started taking some bird photos, which I am hoping to show on this website. I don't have an expensive camera just a basic 2million pixel one, but it takes some nice photos.
I live in Coventry, so most of my bird watching is done at my local nature reserve or in my back garden.
I hope to make some new wildlife/bird watching friends on here.
Kind regards
Paul |

| | | Re: Newbie Hi Paul and a very warm welcome to WAB from someone else that lives in Coventry.
I live over in Binley, about a mile from Coombe Abbey and about four miles from Brandon Marsh.
Where do you normally do your birdwatching and photography.

I live in Wood End so I mostly use Wyken Slough for my bird watching. Are there any other good bird watching places in Coventry as it would be nice to go bird watching with other people, instead of by myslef.
Kind regards

I called into Wyken Slough myself Saturday morning on my way to Ladywalk, which is near Coleshill.
There are plenty of places near Coventry. Brandon Marsh you know about. Ryton Woods which is fairly close. It just depends what sort of distance we are talking about from Coventry. I know virtually every site in the Midlands as I have been to them so you give me a radius in miles and I will give you birding sites to visit.
Regarding birding on your own. I may be able to meet up with you sometime but a lot of my birding is done with a camera also. This means I might spend some time taking photos rather than out and out birding.
