| | | HiYa ! Hi all
Just thought I'd pop my head in and say a big "hello" to everyone.
I live in SW Scotland (Ayrshire), and although I love wildlife, it's only been in the
last year that I've really started to take any real notice of what's around me.
I find myself staring out the window for ages, watching the birds feed from the feeders,
trying to see a bird that I saw in the winter but didn't recognise (yellow with a "mohican").
Not much of a description, but it was just a few fleeting glances before the pair flew away.
I'm also planning to turn the garden into a wildlife garden (if the Wife will agree), so I'll probably be picking everyone's brains for help
Anyhows, off to watch the birds....

| | | Re: HiYa ! Hi Graham, watching the birds feeding can be so addictive, and I find I'm frightened to move away from the window in case I miss something. Even ironing is more pleasant now I set ithe board up so I can watch the birds. You will be able to turn you garden into a wildlife friendly garden with out it turning into a jungle - tell your wife not to worry and you'll both reap the rewards when it all comes to life. Good luck with that project. I did it four years ago and it changed my life, I made a website about it, I also discovered WAB looking for ID's. Enjoy the site and I love your User name . |

A warm welcome to WAB, you are in good company I am another that has my computer set up so that I can watch the birds on my feeders. Very distracting really but I love it. Must get some work done.
Looking forward to your posts and photos.
Carol.

Lorraine. | My head is in that position permanently I think, due to years of stargazing, another
pasttime, albeit a very expensive one.... |
