Hello From Lancashire

Just to say hello from Lancashire! While looking through a photographic magazine at lunchtime I found this site advertised, had a quick look and decided to register. Since taking up digital photography a few years ago I have developed an interest in taking close up shots of flowers, plants and shrubs which, in turn, has led me to develop a growing interest in nature. I hope to be able to upload some flower shots soon.

Hello Sandra, I hope it won't be too long before we see some of your images in the galleries. You will find so much of interest apart from plants and photography here - my interests have snowballed since I became a member. Welcome to this wonderful site

I too am a new member after following a link to this site from the springwatch forums, I am just researching cameras as wildlife photography is something I would like to make a hobby i will look forward to seeing your photos and hearing how you have achieved them

Hi Sandra,

A warm welcome to WAB from another Lancastrian, looking forward to your posts and your photos.
I am also into to photographing wild flowers, trees and shrubs as a log and record, I have also developed an interest in other aspects of nature due to WAB so be prepared you will find yourself following insects, moths, butterflies across fields, I am quite sure you get the picture - it's very addictive.

Hello Sandra from Lancashire.

I have just joined and this is my first entry. I too enjoy photography and look forward to both seeing your posts and posting some photos of mine.

My wife Jane is not a Lancastrian but apart from that she is perfect!

Isn't digital brilliant. And it saves a fortune in developing and printing the 99 rubbishy pics I take for every good one!

Anyway keep enjoying the nature photography and I look forward as I said to commenting on some of your photos.

Thank you to everyone for the welcome. I am enjoying finding my way around the site and have submitted my first photo and will submit more soon.

As well as shots of flowers and plants I would also like to capture birds but, so far, only been successful with waterfowl.

There are some very impressive images on this site to live up to!

Look forward to viewing more.
