Hi from NE England

Hi everyone,
just found this forum today as I was hunting around for a bat detector (Magenta IIb now on order ). We are lucky to live out in the country and have many bats around along with all sorts of other wildlife. My wife, who may also join soon, is also very keen on frogs, infact we have just come in after feeding the tadpoles some chicken!

This looks to be a very well organised and informative forum, guess I'll be spending quite some time here.

Cheers

Joe

Hello Joe and welcome to WAB.

The only trouble with this site is spending far too much time on it and neglecting the housework.

Good luck with the bat detecting.

Re: Hi from NE England

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Still waiting on the bat detector but have been watching the bats a lot anyway - lovely creatures.
I've also been stalking hares as well, which is great fun and just a wee bit challenging. I'll admit that I used to shoot in my younger days, I still love the hunt, but I don't like killing anymore, and much prefer to carry a camera now. Anyway once my post count is high enough I'll post some pics here.

Cheers

Joe

Hi Joe,

Glad you found the site, because I'm sure you'll really enjoy it and the people on here. My uncle lives in Lincolnshire and has loads of bats that live near his big house in the country - it's great to go up and watch and listen to them at dusk. Great animals

Welcome and enjoy

Gareth
