| | | Another new member Hello from me
Cant believe I haven't found this website before, wildlife AND a bit astronomy ?!?! perfect. 30 year old male living in Worcestershire, working in Plastic Recycling.
Went for a walk this evening and heard then saw 2 Curlews fly straight over my head, had no idea curlews were around here, are they common ? i've only ever seen them in Scotland - made for a great evening anyway.
All the best |

We are a very friendly bunch here, welcome - sorry, I don't know if curlews are common where you are. |

| | Re: Another new member Hi to everyone. I have also just found this site as I was looking for information about Sloworms. My cat who I am sorry to say is an avid hunter brought me one this afternoon to say he had forgiven me for treading on him earlier and as he is very gentle I am normally able to take them from him and return them to a wild area of the garden. This one however was quite a bit larger than all others and had blue spots all over it!! Anyone an idea if this is unusual or if I have never looked that closely at them before? (I am a bit girly about handling his prizes).
I live on the Isle of Wight and have a small garden but get loads of wildlife from Badgers to loads of ladybirds. Looking forward to an interesting time. |

All the best | Hi Longshanks. Curlews can be common in the right habitat. Quote:
