| | Re: Hi!! Hi matt!! Nice to meet you! As to the shots - I'll have to find them first hehe their not that good - a few are a bit blurry - i live in quite a woody area and there's actually a wood running through my neighbourhood - there's quite a variety of animals living there.
I myself have seen a few foxes, Badgers, and a variety of little mice and small mammals. The only thing is its full to the brim of grey squirrels - their evil little things i can tell you!!! They throw nuts and stones at everyone who passes - their all over the place!!
If you don't mind me asking - how do you get that little picture under your name?

I'm not too keen on the grey squirrels myself, more for ecological reasons than their general evilness though! If you look in the forum theres a whole thread somewhere about them which might interest you.
I joined mostly for the photography side of things but will join in the forums now and again. Have to say I'm a bit disappointed so far with the gallery, it doesn't seem very active to me.

Hehe not so fast!! I'm suprised at myself it usually takes me much longer to se my mistakes - usually when its too late!!
No, it wasn't even taken in Britain - it's a picture of Lolita (thus the name) the orca in the Miami sea aquaruim. The reason i have added Free before her name is basically because she desperately needs to be freed. you see, if you look close enough, you will see that lolita's tank is very very small - that's the same one she has been living in for 34 years now - and she shares it with a dolphin too!! It's dirty, in fact the whole park is dirty and her tank is so small that when her trainers feed her, her fluke is touching the bottom of the tank and her head is completely out of the water!! She is forced to perform the same show several times a day every day - it's just not right.
Ooh, squirrel talk - i'll definetely take a look!!:
I havent actually viewed the gallery yet - thats another thing i'll have to do

| | | Re: Hi!! Totally agree about this Orca being freed. Being in captivity is bad enough but if its being kept in such conditions then its clearly not right!
Pop along to the gallery when you can, feel free to comment on my photos when you do

I only joined in late September and it was busy then, given the fact that we are now approaching 1000 members, I'm expecting to see a huge upturn in the amount of images posted as we get into Spring. |

| | | Re: Hi!! Okay dokay about the gallery. I don't really have an issue with the number of images being posted. I'd actually suggest a limit might be placed on how many a member can post each day so that theres a fairer chance of our shots getting seen and commented on. I don't want to come over as a moaner or sticking my nose in as a new member so hope my comments are taken as they are intended, as constructive.
Hope things liven up regarding comments, I'm doing my best to leave some on other peoples images, its what makes posting them rewarding after all
