Hi Les,

I 'suppose' you are lucky to find all of that! :eek: :D :D :D

We're suffering down in Norfolk too from a lack of rain, though we had a good sprinkle over t'weekend. Hopefully things will start happening again and soon it'll be time to ignore the boring Sulphur Tuft and Collybia maculata once more :rolleyes: :D

Bring on the shrooms!

The fungi this past year has been very good in South Yorks & North Notts, keeping us busy right up to this past weekend. We shall be resuming after the Chrishmas festivities and hope it will be business as usual.

FungiJohn and I have been exploring a new wood for the past few weeks, Sherwood Pines in North Notts, a coniferous woodland with some deciduous along the edges. It's a popular place for cyclist and walkers, with the GoApe site which features wire ropes strung at high level between the trees. Haven't been able to get John to give it a try so far.

We hope to be joined by JayBee in the New Year, which will add another pair of eyes, so we should find even more. LOL

Wishing all you Fungi Hunters a merry Christmas and may the new year bring you lots of new species.

Hi all,
The weather is set to improve this weekend, it's going to be sunny and getting warmer. So spring seems to be with us and the seasonal shrooms are begining to appear. So its time to get out to your favorite patches, dust off the camera, look to improve your finding skills and phographic technique, and enjoy.

Lets make use of this facility by relating what new techniques you have tried, and if they were sucessful.

I have started using a white umbrella, both as a shade and a flash reflector, and find that the lighting on the subject is vastly improved.
