I have never seen such a number of hoverflies, or such a variety, as I am seeing at the moment. I spend a great deal of time at the moment planting out plants and the little hoverers stalk my watch face, any flowers, my shiny red nose and probably my gleaming head, tho. I can't see up there. All the herbs at home have a cloud of them and a be-buzzment of bumble-bees as well. Anyone else noticing this rise in numbers? Sadly, very few honey bees, tho. we are only about 30 yards from some hives. The ones I do see are coming for water.
