Name - Fowlmere RSPB
Fowlmere's reedbeds and pools are fed by natural chalk springs, and a chalk stream runs through the reserve. Special birds include kingfishers, water rails, and nine species of warblers, including sedge warblers, reed warblers and grasshopper warblers.

Nature trails
Circular nature trail 1.8 miles (3 km): all wheelchair-accessible (adventurous) in dry weather, 600 m compacted gravel path and boardwalk.
By road
From the A10 (Cambridge to Royston) turn towards Fowlmere at the Fowlmere-Shepreth crossroads (no RSPB sign); after 1 mile (1.5 km), turn right by the cemetery (RSPB sign); after another 0.6 mile (1 km), turn left into the reserve (RSPB sign).
