....Sergeant Healey has asked that we are all vigilant when walking around the Park - Rangers, fisherman, volunteers, Park Guard s etc. Most instances seem to be concentrated around Tottenham and Walthamstow at this end (e.g. two goldfinches were found in a cage on the counter at a spice shop along Walthamstow High St !), but he thinks there's every chance it will be happening in other areas of the Park now too.
It is mainly Eastern Europeans and North Africans that seem to be carrying out the trapping. He's asked that if you see any suspicious behaviour to call 999 immediately and give your exact location details, and to take note of any vehicles etc. If you have any other information about previous suspicious activity, or info on any previous `hot-spot' areas, you can contact him directly on: 07714 234 856
