A good explanation of the acronyms, and your last para says it all. Pig farming standards have changed a tremendous amount, and one of the largest employers round me (Malton) is a Bacon factory. Try and buy British Bacon in the town, it ain't easy. We do have very good local shops with local produce for sale, but loads buy the Kenyan beans, the Danish bacon and so on.
