Oops! Fantastic country-I did 5 trips as a tour leader with a local expert/leader. Though the trips were primarily botanical, I saw lots of great birds, mammals, reptiles + insects too.

Amazing for raptors including 5 species of vulture (including Lammergeier),
Golden, Short-toed + Booted Eagles, Long-legged + Steppe Buzzards, various harriers + smaller raptors.

Certainly recommend it for stunning scenery, warm friendly people + amazing wildlife. Unfortunately my only Snow Leopard was a scruffy specimen in the museum in Almaty!
