| | | BANES Selling Tree Covered Roundabout Link Just down the road from me is a roundabout covered in trees. It is a link in a connecting Green Corridor between my estate and a wooded area around an old house and on into farmland.
I was surprised when I drove home yesterday to discover an official BANES notice at each of the four approaches offering the space for Advertising Hoardings! whatever next?

| | | Re: BANES Selling Tree Covered Roundabout Link The roundabouts i like to see are the ones where they're sponsored by a garden centre, there are 2 such ones near me and they've been planted up so well - a mix of small trees, shrubs and a few perennials - making a natural looking area. |

| | | Re: BANES Selling Tree Covered Roundabout Link Its illegal to erect signs that distract from the ( safety) road-signs that (may) be nearby, especially if they are aon land owned by the County Highways Department.
If they genuinely distract you/other roadusers, I suggest you take photographs of them and sent copies with a covering letter to your County Highway Dept. |

Complain in writing | If it truly is to become a 'link' or wildlife corridor, you should insist Banes build a badger tunnel or whatever to connect the roundabout to the mainland.
