| | | Bunny help! Hi, can anyone give me any advice on what to do with a bunny I have found. I found it in my horses field yesterday, it had a small wound on its head, I cleaned it with hibiscrub and put a small amount of wound cream on to prevent more flies attacking it, there was a rabbit hole near to where the baby was so I put it in it. Having checked the site today the bunny had been kicked out of the hole and was in the middle of the field again where the horses could stand on it or the dogs could get it. I found another hole and next to it was a large adult rabbit half eaten and remains of around 5 or 6 other babies roughly the same age as this one . I have fetched the baby home and up to now its had a few sips of water out of a small syringe, its very young but plenty of life. I have contacted a local wildlife rescue but had to leave a message and up to now they havent been back in touch. Any ideas on what I can feed it? I rescued one a few years ago but it was much older, it had been attacked by a cat, I released it a few days later. Thanks in advance. |

| | | Re: Bunny help! how big is the baby? If as big as the palm of your hand (or smaller) it will need formula milk.
Keep it warm and keep hydrated.
Where abouts in the UK are you?

| | | Re: Bunny help! If you can't get it into a rescue tonight and have no formula kitten milk in, keep it warm and give warm sugar water hourly.
This website lists a few rescues in the Nottinghamshire area (scroll to the bottom of the page for the Notts numbers.
Also try the St Tiggywinkles helpline (24 hours) 01844 292292 for advice.

| | | Re: Bunny help! The baby bun is still with us, gave it drops of water throughout the night and it's still very lively. Must find a rescue today though as I'm sure more can be done for the little one. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
