It is interesting to hear that if you go gently through the environment, you see so much.
I've sailed a small dinghy on the west coast of Scotland and have had great skuas landing nearby to having a look - they seem to be friendly birds (unless you happen to be another bird), guillemots and black guillemots paddling along next to us, porpoises scything through the swell about 10 feet from the boat, and once a herring gull that landed on the bow.

| | | Re: Wabbers on water I find that if I am out on my quad bike, just taking it steady over farmland, I can get much closer to wild animals than I can on foot. They seem to identify a man on foot as more of a threat. Other hunters have found the same. It may well apply with boats.
