Survey does not appear to have been piloted properly. Too many questions that are not closed enough, yet have closed answers. People answering from outside the speciality area will read things very differently.
Duly filled in, but I doubt the validity of the results -- sorry. |

| | | Re: Research - request for help I'm ashamed to say I'd never heard of the topmouth gudgeon until I looked at the survey. I completed it honestly (i.e. not knowing a thing about the gudgeon) and as I could see that it was really all about the gudgeon, I looked it up.
One benefit of putting the survey on here is a little less ignorance in my case, so that's a good thing.

This survey is part of a larger review into TMG impacts and management, post 2005.
There was a piece in last weeks Anglers Mail asking for any further sightings, so it will be interesting to see if anything new comes forth!
Cheers
Josie | Rob B and Gareth J did the sampling and post op monitoring on the schemes. The first operation at Ratherheath was a massive undertaking with many eyes watching the method and outcome.
There was even an observer from the Scottish Exec monitoring the job in preparation for a Gyrodactylus invasion! There were many sceptics and doomsayers but the Swedish consultants were spot on, the method was 100% effective. |

| | | Re: Research - request for help - Last chance Dear all,
Many thanks to everyone that has completed my survey so far. This piece of research wouldn't exist without your help so thank you.
If anyone hasn't completed it yet but would still like to, the survey will close at midnight on Sunday so you have just a few days left to fill it in - please do if you get the chance.
Thanks also for all the feedback.

| | | Re: Research - request for help Nightshade,
Thanks for your comments. I hope people that fill in the survey have chance to see my website. I haven't linked to information on the other species as they are outside my area of expertise; they were selected for comparison following media analysis I did on non-native species, and my knowledge is no more than any other amature enthusiast could gain from reading around. I hope my topmouth gudgeon website will be of interest and that it draws together content that is new to people.
I will bear your comment I mind though should I ever do similar work, if that is what people would like by way of 'reward'.
Thanks
