| | | Could anyone help with droppings ID? Hello, I would be most grateful if anyone could offer advice on what might have left these droppings. The droppings are black, possibly quite liquid when left, with a number of round pea-sized hard seeds in. The seeds seem to have a slight point at one end where they'd germinate. The droppings don't have a discernable smell.
I'm sorry about the quality of the photo - I have very poor skills and a very cheap camera!
The droppings were left on my lawn close to where a lot of sunflower hearts have been dropped from bird feeders, and also quite close to a small wildlife pond.

| | | Re: Could anyone help with droppings ID? Hi Za thanks for the reply - I do have woodpigeons visiting every day, feeding on the dropped sunflower seeds, also up to six collared doves. I've never seen droppings like this before, and have had birds feeding on sunflower hearts for years. I guess it could have been a new woodpigeon who has just found my garden, maybe! I wonder what the seeds are.

| | | Re: Could anyone help with droppings ID? I have seen similar near where I live and I`m fairly sure that the ones near me are wood pigeons, they seem to be getting some kind of berry or cherry from somewhere although I havent seen any trees with that kind of fruit in the vicinity.
