| | | Wildlife surveys Can anybody point me in the right direction on where I can survey wildlife, plants etc and send them in?
I was keen to take part in the Norfolk wildlife trust but have a funny feeling I'm just outside the border and not sure if they would be interested in my tiny village.
I'm in Elm. |

size of village/town doesnt matter.
Try some internet searches -there are lots you can help with - BTO , Plantlife, Recording & monitoring - Butterfly Conservation
etc etc
Good luck!

| | | Re: Wildlife surveys Hi fengirl, welcome to WAB.
For plant records, once you have discovered which Vice County you are in, try and get in touch with your BSBI County Recorder, they are always after records, especially from 'out-of-the-way' places. Records of all plants are welcome including those of very common species.

| | | Re: Wildlife surveys Thanks for the reply's.
I have had a quick look around today online and found a few sites.
And thanks Dorts I'll look into that, I've already discovered we have Hogweed growing down an old canal, apparently dangerous stuff. |

There's threads on this site that relate purely to this plant - I beg of you to please read them !
Regards & welcome & hope that you learn lots of interest, & can even contribute something new in turn ! |
