| | | Looking for your Wildlife Mysteries for us to solve! Hello,
I’m hoping you may be able to help with a new series natural history series for Nat Geo Wild that we are making at Icon Films. We are trying to find stories about strange animal goings on in people’s back yards or towns – mysteries that, along with our team of wildlife experts, high tech cameras and specialist gizmos, we can help solve. We are filming in July/August/September, both the USA and the UK, and looking for stories in any part of the country.
As an example of some of the potential stories we have:
A story of a golf course where the greens are regularly churned up (looks like a JCB digger has been in and wreaked havoc). The thought is, it might be wild boar, but there are no wild boar known to be in the area – in which case, what’s doing it?
A story of small domestic animals disappearing in Chicago. Looks like it could be the work of coyotes who are happily living in the city centre, or is it the work of another animal?
A chap with a boat that he keeps covered up to stop animals and dirt getting in. Only something IS getting in, and stealing the stuffing out of his cushions. Who is the critter and how does it do it?
Should you have any mysteries or know anyone that does, please do forward our request and get in touch by emailing Dan at: cameratrap@iconfilms.co.uk |

| | | Re: Looking for your Wildlife Mysteries for us to solve! Dear ' Natural History ' - I sincerely hope that your programme deosn't come with the horrendus, jokey-jokey kind of soundtrack that I find accompanies programmes like, "Animals do the funniest things" which feautures an American guy with a totally idiotic and non-funny patronising commenatary which ruins and destroys all of the natural humour that goes with the clips.
I suppose the purpose of this is to try to drag-in the highest number or lowest common multiple that might be watching. Dumbing-down.
Please do not be tempted to 'dumb-down' any of these mysteries of the sake of a mass audeince. I truly believe that the sort of commentary as described above put more people off than it brings in. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
