I can confirm that the mass of worms I saw was not like that. Our wormy mass contained much bigger and "juicier" looking worms (and bits of worm). There were pieces or sections of worm in the mass, it didn't look like a wormy orgy (unless they went a bit too far and chopped each other up).
We did wonder about badger regurgitation, but we've not seen evidence of them in our local neighbourhood before (although we have observed them in woodland about 5 miles away). But we do have woods nearby and it is very "rural" here, so perhaps it was a sick badger. |
