| | | Re: taking pictures of children committing animal cruelty? Help Firstly congratulations on getting the photo (hopefully a great and clear one) and contacting the police, too many people would have passed it by.
Any news on what the police said, and any action that you're aware of?
Worryingly, this won't be the first time they've done it, and unless action is taken (and possibly even if it is) it won't be the last. If the matter isn't handled by the police I'd be tempted, as someone suggested, to contact the local newspaper. They'll not publish the photo of the children, but may do with the faces obscured, that way, should the parents see it, they would recognise them and hopefully take appropriate action themselves. |

| | | Re: taking pictures of children committing animal cruelty? Help Afternoon Dawn,
Well done on the action taken thus far. As VF says, all birds are protected from acts of cruelty.
I suggest you hand it to the police as a 'dossier' of crimes commited by the kid/s. They may not be so interested if the onus is put on Canada geese, but if they see the offenders are causing a few problems then they maylook into it further. If the police can't/CPS won't bring charges, then contact the relevant Safer Neighbourhoods team. They view this as 'inteliigence-led policing', and will get their PCs/PCSOs to keep an eye out in the said areas.
Good luck, and keep us posted!
Take care, Jason | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
