Is there a "tick" book for birdwatchers?

Hey Everyone

I am after a book (preferably pocket sized) whereby it lists the species of birds that can be found in the UK and you can tick them once seen (like a log book I suppose) - is there anything out there on the market like this? I looked on Amazon and there are loads of books but they all seem to be aimed at the American market (american birds!)

The RSPB used to do one (think they still do?) which had 10 lists which could then be used for year/holiday/day trips or whatever you wanted.
It was on sale in some of their shops at Reserves.

If you want one for a year list the RSPB Diary has a list of UK birds at the back with several columns for different site lists.

I use this using the first for my UK year list + the other columns for some of my regular London sites. If I see any major rarity not on the list I just add these in at the bottom of the appropriate page.
