Glad Lack added the words "or more" in his chapter, as the actual result is more like 30 times the number of native plants times 0.1. Or it might be that 15% (rather than 10%) that have escaped and have been recorded "in the wild". The mind boggles.
When I was about 6 or 7 I used to dig up plants sprouting from a communal compost heap and replant them next to a stream, on farmland, to try and form a secret garden type thing. Goodness knows where the seeds ended up. I hope I didn't make the situation worse.
