the poo is probably herbivour - sheep, rabbit, deer etc. The fur is not obvious herbivour..... I don't know, but perhaps not from the same species?

The droppings look like deer (same as my goats produce - they are known as berries in the goat world - a good description of them).
The hair looks possibly like deer, my guess is Roe - they look brown at a distance, but their hair has a greyish tone closeup. They are probably using the tree as a scratching post, to dislodge winter coat which is starting to moult now, and also lice/mites are affecting my goats, so probably making the deer itchy too!

deer i would say ! looks like red or possibly sika ,the scat is female as it lacks the little tail part !!

Thanks for the replies! I have been told there are Roe/Muntjac Deer on the site so more than likely it seems it is Roe Deer. |
