| | | What could this be? I really wasn't sure where to put this . This seemed the best bet .
It's on the top of a hill on an estate in the NE of Scotland. Not the sort of area where children would be building wigwams. So I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas?
I've got a photo of the general area if that would help.

Blizzard | Could be an improvised tripod (or whatever the five-legged equivalent term is!) used to steady a rifle, either when sighting the weapon in or taking a shot, probably at deer - I've used something similar myself, though I'm not sure why one would need five legs? Some stalkers use a walking stick as a monopod, wraping their hand around the stick and resting the rifle on their thumb. Others use a small bipod attached to the muzzle end of their rifle.
Cheers

Or is there a Wicker man coven near there?
Cheers

Were the diagonals fixed, or material-based? There's a type of dancing I seem to recall where participants hold them and dance around the upright. Then again, I'm not sure if they'd carry this out on the edge of a drop like that.
Hmmm... not sure this is helping... where's the exit...
Take care, Jason |

Might it be to prevent animals from entering the confines of the contraption?
Maybe protection for plants within, or possibly an open shaft or similar danger.
Regards,
Mike. |

Jonathan. | That would make sense. It's not far from where they have the testing area to make sure paying stalkers can actually hit a target . Maybe they have that up there to see whether the stalkers are fit enough to walk up a steep hill as well lol. |

Ken | I doubt the keepers would allow anyone to dance up there . Vandals certainly wouldn't stand a chance |

Take care, Jason | Good evening to you too Jason .
Seriously, I'm quite certain that no type of dancing would be taking place up there .
Have you found the door yet . |

Regards,
Mike. | Hmmm, I've never been up close to it. I think I must make the effort and go and have a proper look.
I doubt the estate would be protecting plants and I can't think that there would be an open shaft there either. I feel a walk coming on . | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
